Search for one page website cost and the answers disagree by a factor of fifty or more. One agency guide puts it at $200 to $10,000 depending on the design method. A builder's pricing page says $19 a year. A pay monthly web designer says $0 down. All of them are telling the truth about the number they quote, and none of them tells you what you will have paid by year three.
Over three years, a one page website costs about $111 on Carrd, $360 to $724 on Framer, GoDaddy, Wix or Squarespace, about $154 to $2,954 as a fixed-price package, $1,188 to $8,532 on a pay monthly plan, and $1,834 to $19,954 from an agency. A custom-coded page bought once costs about $351 with three years of domain fees.
That last figure is PageDrop's own price, so read the rest with that in mind. To get past the guesswork, we collected the published prices of 21 web design services that build small business websites, each read from the seller's own page on 13 October 2026. Two of them ask less than we do.
How Much Does a One Page Website Cost?
A one page website costs $19 a year plus about $18 for the domain to build yourself on the cheapest builder, $10 to $19 a month on mainstream builders, $100 to $2,000 as a fixed-price package from a web designer, $33 to $237 a month on a pay monthly plan, and $1,000 to $10,000 from an agency. The up-front price is the smallest part of most of those totals.
The spread is wide because a "one page website", which some sellers call a single page website or a landing page, covers six different purchases: a cheap single-page builder, a mainstream website builder, a fixed-price package, an agency build, a pay monthly lease and a finished site paid for once. The price shape matters more than the sticker, so the rest of this post puts all six on the same three-year clock.
How Much Do Web Designers Charge for a One Page Website?
Across 21 services with a published price, a one-time build has a median of $649 and runs $100 to $2,000. A pay monthly plan has a median of $99 a month, and five of the nine monthly plans state a minimum term of 6 to 36 months.

What the survey shows:
- One-time builds cluster under $700. Seven of the twelve one-time prices sit between $100 and $663. Above that, the price usually buys more pages or a longer design process, not a better single page.
- Pay monthly website plans cost more over the term. The cheapest monthly plan, about $33, adds a £199 setup fee and a 36-month minimum, about $1,456 in total. The next section puts both models side by side.
- The minimum term is the real price. The five stated terms run from 6 months at Test Valley Digital to 36 at iWebServices. Opace's page says you own the site after 12 months; most of the others do not say who owns it.
- The cheapest done-for-you option is not ours. PageFreak builds a single page for $100, and Pixasquare's $295 on Dribbble is $2 less than ours, before the Carrd plan it is built on. PageFreak's $100 covers up to 7 sections, hosting on your own Cloudflare account and the source code; PageDrop's $297 adds copy written for your business, your real photos and Google reviews, and two content updates in the first year. Compare what each includes before comparing the number.
How we collected the prices
Cost guides quote ranges they set themselves. These are asking prices from the sellers' own pages. We searched Google for one page website prices, pay monthly websites and website-in-a-day services in the US and UK, and browsed one-page service listings from freelance web designers on Dribbble and Contra. A seller made the list if it publishes a price for a done-for-you small business website on its own site or marketplace listing, and every price was read from that page on 13 October 2026. DIY builders, AI generators and PageDrop are left out, and so are sellers whose page showed no price or would not load, sellers without their own domain or marketplace profile, and one whose currency was not stated, which removed roughly as many sellers again as made the list. "From" prices count at the from figure. Ravencrest and Test Valley Digital also sell larger sites for a one-time fee ($3,800 and £3,299), which stay out of the one-time figures because their headline offer is monthly. Sterling prices are converted at $1.325 to the pound, the rate on 13 October 2026, before VAT where the seller says so.
Asking prices are not what every client pays. Twelve one-time and nine monthly prices are a small sample, sellers who publish a price tend to be cheaper and more packaged than those who quote on request, several are "from" prices, and a quote can move once the scope is written down. The point of the survey is the shape: one-time prices are low and spread out, monthly prices are low per month and high over the term.
Pay Monthly Website vs One-Time Payment: Which Costs Less?
Paying once usually costs less. Over three years the median one-time build in our survey totals $883 to $1,603 with hosting and a domain, while the median pay monthly plan totals $3,564 before setup fees. Pay monthly wins only on cash flow: little or nothing up front, in exchange for a 6 to 36 month commitment.
| Option | Up front | Monthly | Minimum term | 3-year total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| iWebServices (cheapest monthly) | £199 (about $264) | About $33 | 36 months | About $1,456 |
| Ravencrest | $0 | $150 | 12 months | $5,400 |
| Northwoods Web Designs | Not stated | $169 | 12 months | $6,084+ |
| Redefine Web | $0 | $199 | 12 months | $7,164 |
| Median monthly plan | $0 to $350 setup | $99 | Varies | $3,564 + setup |
| Median one-time build | $649 | $5 to $25 hosting | None | $883 to $1,603 |
| PageFreak | $100 | $0, domain only | None | About $154 |
| PageDrop | $297 | $0, domain only | None | About $351 |
Monthly plans usually bundle hosting, the domain and some edits into the fee, which is part of what the extra money buys. One-time totals count a domain at about $18 a year and, for the median build, $5 to $25 a month of hosting. The monthly totals count the fee for 36 months even where the minimum term is shorter, because most businesses keep the site running. Hosting varies by seller too: 48HR Web Design's page lists hosting from $149 a month, so a build from that seller totals far more than the median row.
What Is the Up-Front Price of a One Page Website?
At the cheapest prices you do the work yourself: $19 a year on Carrd plus the domain. Paying someone else starts at $100 for a done-for-you build, $33 a month on a pay monthly plan or $1,000 at an agency, and the median done-for-you build is $649.
| Route | Cheapest option with a custom domain | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|
| Carrd | Pro Standard, $19/year + domain | You |
| Framer | Basic, $10/month billed yearly | You |
| GoDaddy, Wix, Squarespace | $9.99 to $19/month billed yearly | You |
| Fixed-price package from a freelancer or web designer | $100 to $2,000, median $649 in our survey | Them, then you |
| Pay monthly web design | $33 to $237/month, often $0 down | Them, for as long as you pay |
| Agency | From $1,000, larger agencies $5,000 to $10,000+ | Them, on retainer |
| Custom-coded, paid once (PageDrop) | $297 once | Us |
Sources: Carrd's Pro Lite plan at $9 a year has no custom domain; Pro Standard at $19 a year adds one. Framer's Basic plan is $10 a month billed yearly with a free custom domain. The builder prices are the annual-billing rates for GoDaddy Basic at $9.99, Wix Light at $17 and Squarespace Basic at $19, the same range we sourced in How Much Does a Website Cost?. The package and pay monthly ranges are the survey above. The agency range is Origin Web Studios' one-page guide, which puts medium-sized agencies at $1,000 to $1,200 to start and larger agencies at $5,000 to $10,000 for a fully customized design, in line with Fiverr's guide, which puts a web design project at $500 to $10,000.
For hourly work, the same Fiverr guide puts web design at $20 to $100 an hour, and up to $300 for designers with a top reputation in an upmarket location. A one page site is a small job, but the hours still add up once copy, photos and revisions are counted.
What Hidden Costs Does a One Page Website Have?
The biggest hidden cost of a one page website is the minimum term: a $0-down plan at $199 a month is a $2,388 commitment over 12 months. Domain renewals, outside hosting, upkeep and your own time come on top, and none of them appear in the build price.
- The domain after year one. Wix and Squarespace annual plans include a free domain for the first year only. After that a .com on Wix renews at $21.35 a year, about $20 on Squarespace according to a third-party guide, and Carrd includes no domain at all. Cloudflare Registrar sells domains at cost with no markup, which is the cheapest place to renew one.
- Hosting, when someone else builds it. A fixed-price package or an agency quote buys the build. Where it lives is a separate bill, which Origin Web Studios puts at $5 to $25 a month for hosting, plus $0 to $150 a year for SSL. Static hosts such as Cloudflare Pages include SSL free.
- The minimum term on a monthly plan. "$0 down" moves the build cost into the contract, and leaving early usually means paying the remaining months.
- Upkeep. The same guide prices maintenance at $200 to $3,000 a year. WebFX puts the ongoing cost of a small business WordPress site at $300 to $700 a year.
- Your own time. The builder routes are cheap because you are the designer, the copywriter and the photographer. For a business owner that is evenings, and it is the line that never appears on a pricing page.
- What you own at the end. On a builder, you rent. Wix states that your site needs to be hosted and operated on Wix's servers, so leaving means rebuilding. Pay monthly plans can be leases too, so check who owns the site when the term ends. A custom-coded site is a folder of files you can move to any host.
What Does a One Page Website Really Cost Over Three Years?
Over three years, Carrd is the cheapest one page website at about $111, a $297 one-time build totals about $351, below every monthly builder, and the $99 median pay monthly plan passes the $649 median one-time build within eight to ten months once that build's hosting and domain are counted. Three years is long enough for renewals and hosting bills to land, and shorter than most redesign cycles.
| Route | 3-year total | What's counted | You own the site? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carrd Pro Standard | ~$111 | $19 x 3 + domain | Only on Pro Plus ($49/year) |
| Fixed-price package | ~$154 to $2,954 | $100 to $2,000 build + hosting where not free + domain | Usually |
| Custom-coded, paid once (PageDrop) | ~$351 | $297 once + domain, hosting free (2 edits in year one included, later edits $25 each, not counted) | Yes |
| Framer Basic | $360 to $396 | $10 x 36, domain renewal if the free one lapses | No |
| GoDaddy Basic | $396+ | $9.99 x 36 + domain renewals | No |
| Wix Light | ~$655 | $17 x 36 + two $21.35 domain renewals | No |
| Squarespace Basic | ~$724 | $19 x 36 + domain renewals | No |
| Pay monthly web design | $1,188 to $8,532 | $33 to $237 x 36, hosting and domain usually included, setup fees extra | Often not until the term ends |
| Agency | $1,834 to $19,954 | $1,000 to $10,000 build + hosting + $200 to $3,000/year upkeep + domain | Depends on contract |
Four caveats. Where the domain is not bundled, the totals count about $18 a year, inside Origin Web Studios' $10 to $30 range for a standard domain. The builder totals assume you stay on the cheapest plan for three years, which gets harder the moment you want to take bookings or sell anything, and GoDaddy's $9.99 is an introductory price that renews higher, so its real total sits above the table. The package range runs from the $100 build, which hosts free on your own Cloudflare account (about $154), to a $2,000 build with $25 a month of hosting; the $295 build adds Carrd's $19-a-year plan (about $406), and the rest add $5 to $25 a month of hosting. And the agency row rests on Origin's guide with Fiverr's project range as a cross-check; its $19,954 top figure stacks every maximum at once (the largest build, the dearest hosting, the highest upkeep) and leaves out SSL, which static hosts include free and a paid server can add at up to $150 a year. Every agency figure here comes from vendor guides; we found no independent survey of one-page agency pricing.
Is the Cheapest One Page Website the Right One?
Sometimes, yes. Carrd, at about $111 over three years, is the cheapest one page website on this list, and it is a good tool. If you enjoy design, can write your own copy and have decent photos, it is the right answer and nothing here should talk you out of it. If you want it done for you at the lowest price, a $100 single page from PageFreak is the cheapest done-for-you option we found.
What a low price does not tell you is how much of the work you still do. The page will be exactly as good as the copy and photos that go into it, and most business owners who search this question are searching it because they do not want to write that copy themselves. Before comparing two quotes, ask each seller who writes the words, where it is hosted and who owns the files at the end.
The expensive end has the opposite problem. A $5,000 agency site for a business whose website says what you do, where, and how to call, is paying for process a single page does not need. The page count is the clue: if the site is one page, the build is a few days of work, not a few months. We made the case for when one page is enough, and when it is not, in single page vs multi page websites.
Want the page without the evenings? PageDrop builds a custom-coded one page website for $297 once: written for your business, 95+ on Google PageSpeed, hosted free, and yours to keep. You see it before you pay.
Which Route Fits Your Business?
- You like building things and have the time: Carrd. Lowest total by far, and the limits rarely matter for one page.
- You change the page every week, or sell online: a builder earns its subscription. Budget the plan you will actually need, not the advertised one, and read how much Wix really costs and free vs paid website builders first.
- You want it done and changed a few times a year: a one-time build. You pay for the work once, hosting costs nothing because static sites host for free on Cloudflare Pages, and the domain is the only bill.
- You cannot pay anything up front: a pay monthly plan, but read the minimum term and the ownership clause before you sign, and work out the total over the term.
- You need custom features, a brand system, or ongoing marketing: a freelancer or agency, and at that point you are probably not buying a one page site any more.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is $300 a fair price for a one page website?
Yes, $300 is a fair price for a finished one page website on your own domain. The median one-time price in our survey of 21 web design services was $649, and only two of the twelve one-time sellers charged less than $300. What each includes matters more than the number.
Is a pay monthly website worth it?
It is worth it when you cannot pay anything up front and want edits handled for you. Read two lines before signing: the minimum term, which ran from 6 to 36 months in our survey, and who owns the site when you stop paying, which most monthly sellers' pages do not say.
How much does a one page website cost per year?
After the build, a one page or single page website costs about $18 a year for the domain if it is static files on free hosting, $19 to $228 a year on a builder plan, and $396 to $2,844 a year on a pay monthly plan.
Do I need to pay for hosting for a one page website?
No, a one page website does not need paid hosting if it is static files. Cloudflare Pages hosts static sites free, with SSL included, so the domain is the only recurring cost. Builders fold hosting into the subscription, and a CMS such as WordPress needs a paid server.
Is Carrd good enough for a small business website?
Yes, for a single page Carrd is often enough. Pro Standard at $19 a year connects your own domain. The catch is that you design and write it yourself, and downloading the code to host elsewhere needs Pro Plus, where forms stop working in the download.
Can I move a one page website to another host later?
It depends how it was built. A custom-coded site is a folder of files that runs on any host. Most builder sites cannot leave the platform: Wix says sites need to be hosted on Wix's servers, so only the domain moves with you. Carrd is the exception, on its Pro Plus plan.
Should I pay a freelancer by the hour or a fixed price?
A fixed price, with a written scope. At Fiverr's $20 to $100 an hour, the $649 median build buys anywhere from about 6 to 32 hours, so an hourly quote tells you little until the hours are known. Ask for a price that covers copy, photos, hosting setup and later edits.
